David Lundin, PE 

 

David Lundin leads the firm's civil, site development, and utilities group.   David is also in charge of managing HDL's Matanuska-Susitna Valley office, which primarily serves the City of Wasilla, the City of Palmer and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.  He is a graduate of University of California at Davis and has 19 years of civil engineering experience, including 13 years in Alaska.  His expertise is with road, airport, water, wastewater, and site development projects and he is especially skilled at cost estimating and construction administration.  As a former estimator and equipment operator for a general contractor, David has a special understanding of construction and strives for projects to result in an excellent product at a fair price – a “win-win” for the owner and contractor.  He is the Senior Captain for Palmer Fire and Rescue with over 22 years as a firefighter (17 years as a volunteer) and is a state-certified Fire Officer and Fire Instructor.  He is a lay leader at his church, enjoys Nordic skiing and spending time with Laura, his wife of 19 years, and their two daughters.  David combines family-time and serving the community by managing performances by the Alaska Children’s Choir and coaching youth basketball.
