Dennis Linnell, PE - Vice President

 

Dennis Linnell is a Vice President with the firm and Principal Civil Engineer in charge of transportation.  He is a graduate of Oregon State University and has 27 years of civil engineering experience in Alaska. Dennis specializes in the planning, design, and construction management of highway, utility, and municipal street projects. He is a recognized expert in street and highway design and was selected as “Engineer of the Year” in 2000 by the Institute of Transportation Engineers Alaska Section. He enjoys helping state and local agencies with their capital improvement projects and leading his teams through the decision process.

 

Dennis also enjoys using his engineering and project management skills to help others in need. He has led numerous youth and adult mission trips in Alaska, Utah, Kentucky, Washington D.C., Mississippi (Hurricane Katrina), Mexico, Haiti, and Costa Rica. From March 2009 to March 2011, Dennis and his wife, Denise, were on sabbatical serving the Extreme Nazarene ministries in Peru. He managed the design and construction as well as approximately 800 volunteer workers, building Christian mission facilities across Peru. Denise used her experience as a CPA to serve as Extreme Peru’s Financial Director. Dennis is a lifelong Alaskan who enjoys hunting, fishing, hockey, skiing, and being outdoors. He resides in Anchorage with his wife and two children.
